Paul Prays for Believers to Abound in Love (Philippians 1:9–11; 1 Thessalonians 3:12–13)
Paul prayed that the church would grow in love, not as a shallow feeling but as a discerning love rooted in knowledge and spiritual insight. He asked that this love would lead believers to approve what is excellent, live with sincerity, and bear righteous fruit to the glory of God.
Paul Prays for Spiritual Wisdom and Revelation (Ephesians 1:15–23)Paul prayed that God would give the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that believers might know Him more deeply. He asked that the eyes of their hearts would be enlightened to grasp the hope of God’s calling, the riches of His inheritance, and the greatness of His power toward those who believe.

Paul Prays for Israel’s Salvation (Romans 10:1)Paul prayed earnestly for Israel’s salvation, longing that his kinsmen according to the flesh might be saved. His heart’s desire was for their restoration through faith in Christ.

Paul’s prayers give us a model for interceding with eternal priorities. He prayed for love, wisdom, strength, holiness, unity, peace, and salvation. His petitions show that true prayer seeks God’s glory in the lives of His people, asking that Christ be formed in them and magnified through them until the day He returns.
